Mouse River Enhanced Flood Protection Project (MREFPP) Announces Temporary Roadway Impacts
Minot, N.D. – As work continues on Phases MI-1, MI-2 and MI-3 of the Mouse River Enhanced Flood Protection Project (MREFPP), several major roadway impacts have been scheduled to start this week.
Impacts to 3rd Street NE – The southbound lane of traffic on 3rd Street NE at the 3rd Street NE and 5th Avenue NE intersection, will be detoured to Broadway via 6th Avenue on Tuesday, August 6. The northbound lane will be allowed through this area, flaggers will be directing under reduced speeds.
Roadway opening on 4th Avenue NW – The portion of 4th Avenue NW, west of the Broadway intersection, will be open to most traffic flow on Thursday, August 8. Vehicles coming from the west will be able to go north or south at this intersection, and vehicles northbound/southbound on Broadway will be able to turn west on to 4th Avenue NW.
16th Street SW Full Closure – Beginning on Thursday, August 8, 16th Street SW will be closed from Burdick Expressway to just north of 7th Avenue SW. The closure will be in place for approximately 4 weeks. A detour has been put in place utilizing Burdick Expressway, Broadway and 4th Avenue NW. A detour map has been included in this release.
We anticipate these roadway impacts to take place on the dates listed, however, this schedule is weather permitting.
