Mouse River Enhanced Flood Protection Project (MREFPP) MI-2 Napa Valley and MI-3 Forest Road Phases
Minot, N.D. – As work continues on Phases MI-2 and MI-3 of the Mouse River Enhanced Flood Protection Project (MREFPP), the following roadway closures and impacts have been scheduled to begin over the next few weeks.
Underground water line utility work will be taking place at the corner of 20th Street SW and 7th Avenue SW. The stretches of 20th Street SW from 5th Ave SW to 7th Ave SW and 7th Avenue SW from 16th Street SW to 20th Street SW will be closed to thru traffic. Local access will be provided to residents living along this route. Residents will not have access from 7th Avenue SW onto 20th Street SW. Work within these areas of the project is expected to take two to three weeks, weather permitting.
The south end of Forest Road at 16th Street SW going east will be temporarily closed for water line utility work. This closure is expected to last two to three weeks.
The area of 3rd Avenue SW from 15th Street SW east to the dead end will be permanently closed in preparation for levee work in that area.
Roadway milling in preparation for stormwater pipe installation will be taking place along 7th Avenue SW from 22nd Street SW to the Jack Hoeven Baseball Complex. Flaggers will be present directing traffic in this area for approximately two weeks. Resident access will not be impacted.
Safety is always a priority so please be vigilant near the construction zone.
