About the Project
The Mouse River Enhanced Flood Protection Project was initiated by the Souris River Joint Board in 2011 to provide future flood protection for urban and rural residents throughout the Mouse River Basin in North Dakota.
In the decade years since its inception, the project has created a Preliminary Engineering Report, a number of associated alternatives studies, project scaling, implementation plans, funding planning and acquisition, and progressed several phases through design and into construction.
